This is the story of a small village called Svrčuge, located in the hinterland of the Municipality of Herceg Novi. A village that is slowly fading away, losing its residents year by year.
A village rich in history, a history that very few people know about.
That is exactly why a small group of people, originally from Svrčuge, has a plan. They want to protect the village from being forgotten. They want to preserve their roots. They want to breathe new life into their homeland.
And on this journey, you can help us.
This is a path toward light. A path toward new life and renewed joy.

Why Paris?
We are not traveling 5,000 kilometers for an adventure. We are traveling to bring light back to our home, from the City of Light.
Paris is a symbol of inspiration, visibility, and hope. The road to Paris is a symbol of our determination to make the voice of Svrčuge heard across Europe.
Our goal is simple - yet monumental for our village: to install LED street lighting so that, for the first time in many years, Svrčuge will have light again. We are going to the City of Light to bring light home.
Every lamp we install will change someone’s everyday life. It will light the way home. A courtyard. A place that is fighting to stay alive.
This is a story about a community that wants to endure. A story about people who refuse to let their village be forgotten, and who want to breathe new life into it.
You can support us on this journey in many ways. Most of all by sharing our story with your friends. So that all of Europe and the world can hear about Svrčuge and its fight for light.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
Our immediate priority is to bring light to Svrčuge, but our mission does not end there.
Our long-term goal is to attract both tourists and residents of Herceg Novi to Svrčuge, and to ensure that the village lives throughout the entire year.
With that vision in mind, in the next phases of the project we plan to develop a full rural retreat area, including a children’s playground, a village market offering local products, and a hospitality venue.
In addition, we plan to renovate several buildings within the village so everything will be ready to welcome visitors.
In this way, the village would truly come back to life and become attractive both to visitors and to the local community.
Our role is to dream, and to believe that these goals are real and achievable.
With your support, those goals are much closer for our Svrčuge.
